Notes

Heat treating or annealing is heat a material to remove residual stress or relax the molecules or induce crystallization or similar molecular rearrangements.  (RDC 4/10/2013)

****************************************

1. Annealing a polymeric tube, by heating the polymeric tube to a temperature range that allows nuclei formation within the polymer with no or substantially no growth of crystallite around the nuclei during a selected annealing time and then growing crystallites around the nuclei after the annealing time to obtain a desired crystallinity.  [Wang and Oberhauser, US Patent 8,394,317 (3/12/2013)]
