Notes

“Depolymerization (or depolymerisation) is the process of converting a polymer into a monomer or a mixture of monomers.

Thioglycolysis, thiolysis and phloroglucinolysis are reactions used to study condensed tannins by means of their depolymerisation. Thioglycolysis is also used to study lignin.”
